Seven Year Old Survives Plan Crash
Tragedy struck a seven year old girl in a mater of minutes. One minute her, her mother, father, sister and cousin were flying the next she was the only one alive. Alone and afraid she walked three quarters of a mile to a home were she called for help. The brave young girl over comes the fact that it is dark out, she has not shoes or socks on, and she is all alone. She is does not think about herself once through out this whole process, she does this for her family. She travels three quarters of mile through the woods in cold water and the unknown. She traveled all the way to Wilkins houses to find help for her family. in the article it states "Thinking about what the 7-year-old went through and what comes next brings tears to Wilkins' eyes, he said"(Botelho). The tragedy of this is that the girl is not going to have a family because of this awful plane crash. Her father will never walk her down the isle on her wedding day and her mother will never help her pick out her wedding dress. This is the hardship the seven year old girl has to face growing up through life.
Amtrak Train Derails, Rolls on Side in Philadelphia
Tragedy strikes the innocent people in a matter of seconds in Philadelphia. An Amtrak derailed on May 12, 2015 and 8 innocent people lost their lives. Tragedy struck many expecting families. They lost some they loved and probably looked up to. Not only did those family lose the people they loved they most likely did not get to say good bye. Many people were injured but could have died. Tragedy could have struck many more people and families. Although, life doesn't work like that. It works in wonders that one could never explain. One never knows when tragedy will strike or if it will strike one's self. for the seven people riding on that Amtrak that did not know that tragedy would strike them. The Amtrak was carrying 238 passengers when it sped up and then derailed. 200 of the 238 people on board were injured . Over 140 people are hospitalized because of the tragic event that took place in Philadelphia. One man recalls the moments of terror inside the last car "'People were thrown to the ground,' Helfman said. 'Chairs inside the train became unscrewed and suitcases were falling on people. My mother flew into me and I literally had to catch her. People were bleeding from their head. It was awful.'"(Chang). This event happened in a matter of seconds which proves that tragedy can strike at any time even if one is not prepared. Now those people who died will never get to live again. Never see there children grow up. Never see their family again, all because of one horrific event.
